Description
The “Push Fit” Coupler System is used to mechanical splice deformed steel reinforcing bars used in construction of reinforced concrete members.
Thd “Push-Fit” Coupler consists of a main internally threaded steel body with two threaded end caps. These end caps retain a series of spring-loaded wedges that are used to grip the deform bar once inserted in the coupler. The end caps and wedges, through a taper fit, compress the wedges onto the deform bar once the bar is under tension which securely locks the coupler onto the end of the deform bar.
Uses
The product is designed to provided effective splicing of a range of different size deform bar in applications such as:
• Piles
• Column splicing
• Beams
• Splicing protrusions (eg. dowels)
• Splicing for extensions (eg. starter bars)
