Flashings are essential building materials used to prevent water leaks in vulnerable areas like roof joints, valleys, and around chimneys. They protect structures from water damage.
Byute Flash flashing tape is aluminium foil coated with thick butyl adhesive used for weather sealing joints and seams.
Uses include repairs to roofing, guttering, downpipes, sealing joints around skylights, doors or adjoining building surfaces and weathersealing seams around caravans, trucks, sheds etc
Byute Flash is available in a variety of widths and is one of the most versatile all purpose repair tapes around.
Lead is a 100% recyclable and eco friendly roof flashing that creates an impermeable barrier. Lead protects joints and penetrations from water damage, handles temperature fluctuations and prevents cracks. Lead resistance to corrosion by the atmosphere means it will outlast any alternative building material.
In terms of longevity and ecology lead offers the best value and also has a far greater aesthetic appearance. As per AS 2904, exposed lead should be a 20kg minimum, concealed flashing 15kg sheets are acceptable.
To accommodate thermal movement, lengths of lead should not exceed 1.5m lengths. Overlapping should occur where long lengths are required.
Flashguard is a fully annealed 99% pure raw aluminium flashing. It is impervious to moisture, easily dressed, tough and light weight. It is designed for use in building situations with aluminium, zincalume or colourbond roofing sections.
It can be used to protect timber exposed to severe weather and extreme temperature.
Flashguard is an ideal material for flashing aluminium doors and windows.
Available in .3mm and .7mm thickness.
